My name is Marek. I was born in Poland, but many years ago, I came to Australia in search of a better life — not just for myself, but for my family. I raised three children while working 12-hour days on the Gold Coast, running a successful TV and video repair business, and later installing antennas. My English was never perfect, but I did everything I could to give my children a strong future — and they all went on to get a great education.
Now, I live a quieter life on a 40-acre rural property, where I grow vegetables, tend to the land, and build with my hands. I live simply, surrounded by nature. I built my shed-house myself, planted gardens, and even experimented with a Tesla coil to see if it could keep insects away (it does!).
At 70, I still work every day. My strength comes not just from physical effort, but from something deeper. When I work, I talk with God. I listen to nature. I watch the patterns in the wind, the growth of my vegetables, the behavior of animals. I see love as a healing force — a state of mind, a relationship with something greater than ourselves.
I share what I grow freely — mushrooms, vegetables, herbs. I believe that giving is living. Though language can be a barrier, kindness and honesty are universal. This blog is a place for me to share ideas, reflections, and small discoveries that might help others live more gently and more fully.
Thank you for being here.
