This text is also my second attempt to understand and use the technology that can help me create my blocks.
I use two important images.
The first is the decompression stop used by divers to prevent decompression sickness.
The second is a LEGO block.
Both represent the same principle: understanding must be transferred slowly and built gradually, one piece at a time.
Today I am adding another block. It refers to the First of the Ten Commandments:
“You shall have no other gods before Me.”
I am not presenting this commandment primarily in its religious meaning. I want to offer my own image of its logical meaning through three fundamental values offered by the Creator:
Truth, trust and free will.
First, truth.
If truth meets a lie, and our usual method of resolving disagreement is compromise, what happens when truth and falsehood reach a compromise?
Who is the winner?
Do not accept my answer. Ask the question of yourself.
Second, trust.
Trust is not what you say about yourself.
Trust is created by the complete pattern of your actions and by the understanding those actions produce in another person.
The third value is free will.
So many questions are connected with free will that it requires a separate block.
I will therefore dedicate the next LEGO block—or the next decompression stop—to free will.
