At traffic lights, the first car moves. The next driver reacts later. A gap equal to three to five cars is wasted. Instead of correcting the system, government installs cameras and punishes drivers for breaking the rules it created.
An Australian citizen must pass an asset test to receive a pension. Politicians may retain privileges unavailable to ordinary citizens. Are we equal—or do we still have modern Red Barons? Is Australia democratic or feudal?
Did society create the position of judge, or was society created to serve judges? Is a judge my lord and I his servant—or is a judge an employee of society, responsible for keeping it functioning?
We are born naked, and we leave naked. We take none of our positions, possessions or achievements with us.
